Converts a text value like 45% into its decimal equivalent (0.45) as a proper number.

Data TypesBeginnerpercentdecimalnumberconvert

Power Query M code

let
    Source = YourTable,
    Converted = Table.TransformColumns(Source, {{"ColumnName", each Number.From(Text.Replace(_, "%", "")) / 100, type number}})
in
    Converted

Notes

If the column is already typed as text with a trailing % sign, this both strips the symbol and rescales to a decimal fraction.
