DAX Stock on Hand Measure

Notes

Replace 'Inventory'[QuantityOnHand] with your own on-hand quantity column.

Requirements

• An Inventory table with an on-hand quantity column.

How to use this measure

1. In Power BI Desktop, select the table that should hold the measure and choose New measure on the ribbon.
2. Paste the code, then replace the placeholder table and column names with your own. The My table names fields above do this for you.
3. Run it through the DAX Formatter if you want it laid out in your team's style.

Related DAX measures

• Reorder FlagFlags a product as needing reorder when stock on hand falls below its reorder point.
• Days of SupplyEstimates how many days current stock will last, based on the recent average daily sales rate.
• Slow-Moving ItemsFlags products that have had little or no sales activity in the last 90 days despite having stock on hand.
• Stock TurnoverCalculates how many times inventory is sold and replaced over the current filter period.
