Adds a fiscal quarter column (Q1–Q4) that lines up with a custom fiscal year start month.

Generate a Power BI date table

Notes

This is a calculated column on the Date table, not a measure. Keep FiscalYearStartMonth in sync with the Fiscal Year column.

How to use this measure

In Power BI Desktop, select the table that should hold the measure and choose New measure on the ribbon.
Paste the code, then replace the placeholder table and column names with your own. The My table names fields above do this for you.
Run it through the DAX Formatter if you want it laid out in your team's style.
